Ruth and Naomi fitted into that category at the time of this story.
Jesus also came to proclaim good news to the poor.
Should this be the mission of the church?

Main point: God teaches us Ruth’s character in dealing with poverty, and the Christian kindness through Boaz’s character. We can trust in God fully and sits securely under his mighty wings like Ruth.

Main point: God is the one who is in charge of our lives. Sometimes when we make decisions without God would turn out to be a bad idea. Everything might come full circle back to square one. But God receives all worshipers regardless of their race, sex or nationality. The loyalty and faithfulness of Ruth to Yahweh and his people sets a perfect example of how we should follow Jesus.

Some we see them are recorded with their imperfections.
Others we see living victorious lives.
Today we are look at the character of Caleb.
1. The spirit he possessed
A spirit of faith, hope, self- denial, persevering and obedience.
2. The course he adopted.
He chose the path of consecration.
3. The distinction he received
He received a divine approbation and a glorious reward. -

God as a God of love and grace redeemed Israel from Egypt.
God as a God of holiness and justice requires His redeemed people to reach the highest moral standards with the giving of the law.
Now the God of glory and beauty establishes a system of worship for his covenant people. -

Main point: God refuses to go with the Israelites because of their sins, but he still meets with Moses outside the camp at the Tent of Meeting, where God talks to Moses like a friend. In true worship, we need to commit to God by learning from his ways and seeking his presence.

Main point: Idolatry is a sin against God, so we must destroy the idols in our hearts that try to replace God. Jesus has taken our sins as a perfect sacrifice so that we will not be blot out of the Book of Life like the Israelites in the wilderness.

Main point: The Israelites protested against the Lord, and God provided them Manna, the bread from Heaven for food. Manna symbolises the eternal bread of life through Jesus Christ. God also gives us the gift of weekly Sabbath rest for us to enjoy.
