Determined to kill Paul, a group of Jews plotted to kill him in Jerusalem,
but the plot was exposed and Paul was sent to Caesarea to be judged by
Felix, the governor.

Having an overwhelming desire to see his countrymen won the Christ Paul returns to Jerusalem but in doing so is confronted by the hostility of the unbelieving Jews. His
attempt to share his faith before the Sanhedrin is not successful and he remains in prison.

After the difficulties Paul and Barnabas had in Antioch in preaching the gospel they travelled to Iconium. From there they travelled Lystra where Paul was stoned. They also preached in Derbe before they returned to Antioch (Syria) through the cities they had previously travelled.

Acts 13:12 “When the proconsul saw what had happened, he believed, for he was amazed at the teaching about the Lord.”

The church was shattered by the death of James and was called to pray at the imprisonment of Peter. In a miraculous way Peter escaped from prison and was welcomed by the church. After the death of King Agrippa the church continued to grow.

Saul was dramatically changed on the Damascus Road when he was challenged by the Risen Christ. We too have been chosen by the Lord and we too have an important role in the Kingdom of God.
