We should be ready to bring the Gospel of Jesus to all ethnic or cultural groups, because whoever repents is saved. Only genuine repentance brings true salvation.

On planning his third visit to the Corinthian church Paul challenges the congregation to not allow the influence of the world to enter into the church. For those who have fallen he wants them to repent before he comes. They are to examine themselves to see if they are true believers. For us it is a good time too for a spiritual checkup.

Paul wrote against false teachers with authority as an apostle of Christ, that me might prevent a major conflict when he arrived.

Paul wanted the contribution for the Christians in Jerusalem to be generous and for its collection to go smoothly. Generous contributions would result in widespread praise of God.

Because the Corinthians had questioned his motives and methods, Paul gave them further insight into his ministry. They needed to know that Paul’s experience in ministry was a mixture of blessings from God and suffering for their sakes.
